The presentation ceremony for DUALEE, the new company created through the merger of ELSEL S.r.l. and ELETTRONICA MELARA S.r.l., was held on Monday, August 4, at the Luna Blu facility in La Spezia. The two companies are long-established businesses in La Spezia\u2019s technology sector, specializing in mechanics, electronics, and electromechanics applied to defense.<\/p>

The event was hosted in one of the area\u2019s landmark spaces for social commitment, created by Fondazione Carispezia as part of the \u201cAUT AUT \u2013 Autism Autonomy\u201d project. It represented a significant moment for the employees of the two companies and for the entire local industrial community.<\/p>

The Chief Executive Officers, Eng. Francesco Cicillini and Eng. Giulio Epis, presented the new corporate structure to those in attendance, highlighting the reasons and future prospects behind the creation of a company capable of strengthening the area\u2019s technological and production presence with an international outlook.<\/p>

\u201cThe merger represents a concrete opportunity for growth and transformation for both companies,\u201d said Eng. Francesco Cicillini, CEO of ELSEL S.r.l., which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in these very days. \u201cWe have chosen to combine our respective strengths in research and development, design, production, and technical support in order to strengthen our position and tackle the challenges of an increasingly competitive global market with determination.\u201d<\/p>

The creation of DUALEE takes place in an economic and geopolitical context in which defense and security technologies play an increasingly strategic role. In this framework, La Spezia, historically linked to defense and shipbuilding, confirms its position as a key hub for high-tech industry, capable of attracting expertise, investment, and institutional synergies.<\/p>

Starting this autumn, DUALEE will operate as one of the top ten companies by revenue in the province, with 250 employees and a rapidly expanding portfolio of activities. The new company will also aim to strengthen its ties with the local area through training programs, internships, and technical specialization pathways in collaboration with universities and research centers, offering concrete employment opportunities for young people.<\/p>

The investment therefore represents not only an industrial evolution, but also a driver of social and economic growth, capable of enhancing local expertise and generating a positive impact over the medium to long term.<\/p>
